Mutualia’s commitment to advanced management and excellence goes back to 1998, the year in which it adopted the decision to take as reference for its management the EFQM Excellence Model. As a result of the work and effort developed over the years, in 2008 she was recognized with the Gold Q for Excellence (500+ external evaluation points according to the EFQM Model) by the Basque Foundation for Excellence (Euskalit) and previously in 2005, it was awarded with the Q Silver after surpassing the 401 points. However, in 2009, she was again evaluated for external evaluation and received the Ibero-American Quality Award in the Silver category, and in 2012 she was recognized as a finalist in the European EFQM Excellence Award.
As a result of the Basque Government and Euskalit proposing the Advanced Management Model in 2014, Mutualia presented itself in 2015 to the first edition of the Advanced Management Award, being one of the three organizations recognized with the A de Oro. This recognition allowed it to appear in 2016 to a new external evaluation in which it was recognized with the Basque Award for Advanced Management in People, being the first and only organization to achieve this recognition.
Regarding Prevention of Occupational Hazards, Mutualia has also opted for the integral management of these, having been certified its management system in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 standard since 2011. Its management system also received the DIPLOOS award, granted by the Association for the Prevention of Accidents, in 2009.

The South East Chambers platform supports Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) in reaching clients across the South East by assisting with communication, promotion, event planning and referral of clients to EEN services.
WCC regularly holds “needs analysis” workshops with its members to identify issues that are common to a large number of stakeholders in the region. One issue that has become a growing matter of concern is the subject of Work Related Stress (WRS) and its impact on employee health and overall performance of the organisation. The chamber has received queries on WRS from employees, employers and representative bodies that relate to many aspects of dealing with workplace stress; but the main source is employers who are looking for clarity on potential causes, suggested remedies and prevention strategies. Based on this growing concern the Chamber has allocated resources to heighten awareness of the issue and identify innovative remedies through its JEI group and provide appropriate train though its Skillnet network.
